I had to adjust the size of an image not long ago (I scaled it in GIMP) and even though I'd cut it from the page it was inserted into the copies I'd cut still remained in the image folder which made the file grow in size quite a bit (27 mb).

The flightcrew check should have yellow flagged the extra image file as 'Unused'
