I stand by my statement above that Consumer Reports is NOT equipped to adequately review eBook readers. Therefore I seriously doubt Consumer Reports knows enough to judge which is better, a Kindle or a Nook. I was not stating that either was better, merely that Consumer Reports wouldn't have a clue if it bit them in seat of their collective pants.

You indicated that they didn't know what they were talking about BECAUSE they rated the Nook STR higher than the Kindle, which flies directly in the face of what you are indicating here. My point wasn't that the Nook is better (although I own both and feel that it is, without question, a superior reader). My point was that, whether or not Consumer Reports knows what they are talking about has nothing to do with the fact they rated the new Nook above the Kindle.
Edited to add: I just read OrganicJerk right above (after I posted this) and, we are BOTH saying the exact same thing. That the Barnes and Noble Nook STR is a superior device to the Kindle is an opinion shared by MANY, including myself (who owns them both, among others). You used this opinion as proof that they didn't know what they were talking about. I don't know whether they know what they were talking about or not, but, this isn't proof of anything, as it's an opinion shared by many.
