Yes, they are both slightly the same book. The original Griffin's Daughter has some sex in it as it was written for adults. A number of readers mentioned they loved the story and were sorry that they couldn't share it with their teens. So Ridan asked the author to provide a slight rewrite that makes it PG friendly.
