I was riding the light rail this morning and when I looked up at a chapter break I counted 6 people using Kindles (one might have been another e-reader, couldn't see it well), plus 3 people absorbed in their phones all within 25 feet of me. It wasn't a busy morning either. Based on seats/standing spaces that is probably 1 out of 5 people in that area had one.
