I think popularity is growing slowly but surely. I know a handful of people who bought their e-readers at least a year ago if not more, and a few who use their iPads instead. Hubby says he knows at least a dozen of his coworkers who own e-readers (but then again they are all programmers and developers so its almost to be expected).
