E-Ink is strengthening its Board

In a press release Cambridge (Mass)-based E-Ink announced today that Geoff Wild, currently CEO of Nikon Precision Inc., joined its Board of Directors.

"Geoff is an extraordinary business leader with over 20 years of global experience in the semiconductor and electronic materials industries," said Russ Wilcox, President and CEO. "His appointment further expands the talent and energy behind E Ink's drive to bring paper-like computer displays to the world."

E-Ink also announced today that it has received a venture capital investment from Intel Capital, Intel's strategic investment program.

E-Ink is the small university spin-off that produces new types of electronic displays famous for the bright white background and the high DPI resolution. E-Ink's display technology is also used by Sony in its LIBRIe electronic e-book reader device. Why only the LIBRIe and not also in other devices remains an enigma to us...
