Eh, I think Hermes' point about pig/cow-skin leather cases is a valid concern for the pious or vegetarians, but I don't get how it translates to valid criticism of the Kobo Touch. It doesn't. At most, it could be a criticism of Chapters, and even then -- it's a free market, just get another case. It's expensive? Get another case. I plan to get a sleeve or case from eBay, where KT accessories are already popping up.
(Although I'm assuming the point that Hermes made in his original post about pig-skin leather cases offending Hindus is a hasty error. AFAIK, Hinduism has no issue with pigs and pig-related products, putting aside personal and Islamic-influenced cultural preferences.)
If you're interested in a Sony and don't mind waiting, Hermes, you could try waiting until later in the year, to see if Sony releases their rumoured upgraded models. Of course, they might not and all that waiting becomes a waste.
