My kindle works fine on "n" network. Here are some items I would try.
Be very careful typing in your password, be sure the caps are in the right setting as its case sensitive.
Try starting over with setting up the network
Reset the router and/or modem.
You might try setting your network to transmit the SSID. If it connects then shut off the SSID and it might work. This is done in your router settings (assuming you have a router). I've had this work on two or three units in recent months.
