Well, depends on what you mean by “wrong”

. It’s almost certainly illegal (but IANAL). If you’re an intellectual property realist – meaning you hold that IP is in some sense “real” – then it violates the right of the author to deem exactly how their work be used. I personally use the test “does it deny the author any income they would receive in a p-book–only universe,” which leads me to answer “no, not wrong at all.”
