For 99.99 percent of the books from authors that people really bother to read, B&N and the others match Amazon title for title.

And as far as prices go; Most of the publishers now lock in the minimum price that can be listed, so there is little or no difference in the base price.

BUT - as someone has already pointed out - stores DO run promotional offers, LOTS of promotional offers, so it stands to reason that having access to FIVE major book stores is better than ONE.
