Would be nice to see every retailer that's focused on the device, cooperate on this.
I personally worry about the closed ecosystem models, it's a growing trend in all industries due to apples huge success. It also appeals to the music industry and publishers, they've been fighting for years to remove peoples personal ownership and get us to a point where we only rent stuff and doesn't own it.
The more choices we have as consumers, the better we're served imo.
