Frustrated new Kindle 3 user can't get WiFi running.

I've tried logging into my personal WiFi at home, as well as a free WiFi SSID as well, and all I get is "Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi Network. Wi-Fi network connection failed. your kindle is unable to connect to the Wi-Fi network "XXXXXXXX". Would you like to enter the password again or manually set up this network?".

I've even tried setting up the network manually and it's not working (I know I'm in range of the network because I'm sitting directly in front of my Shaw router).

Help?!?!?
