And I am not the only one with issues with multiple Kobos.

While I agree their tech support is lacking, you do realize the "news" on that site you just posted is from over a year ago and is refering to the original kobo; The issues he's mentioning were fixed back in June of last year, and there has been since another firmware update that brought it up to par with the Wifi in november (minus the wifi portion of course). While I understand the need to prove a point, at least use information that is current
