Yup! All the time. Some publishers lower prices to .99 or 1.99 specifically to boost sales. I know Amazon adjusts and compares prices with books on B&N, and probably the other way around. I definitely take the cover into account, and about half the time get a sample to read first. The price usually isn't that important--as long as it's reasonable.
