I've got the kindle lighted cover and the official Sony lighted cover for my PRS-300. I have to say that I find the kindle covet to be better. The quality of the K3 case is superior to the sony case and overall I find the light to be better. The light may be uneven but the light at the bottom of the screen is still more than adequate. I find that the Sony light is too bright and rather harsh for night time reading.
