The Foolish Dictionary was written by Charles Wayland Towne in 1904 under the pen name Gideon Wurdz. It is an amusing "dictionary" in a manner similar to Ambrose Bierce's
The Devil's Dictionary. I think it should go without saying that it was written in another era and you may find some of the material objectionable. For the most part, I found the definitions to be either unfathomable or hilarious.
