Supply & demand. Canada is what, 1/10 the populatioin of the US? It's always going to cost more because of that. We in Canada don't have the buying power the US consumer market does.
It's no different than why are prices cheaper at Walmart than say Sears? (no arguments re slave labour costs please) It's buying power. They buy more so they pay less because of it.
