I have a Kindle 2. The K3 is indeed better, but it still is too low contrast for me. I hope that Sony will bring out it's color e-ink in short order and Amazon adopts it in a future Kindle. It's funny. I carry both a Kindle and an iphone when I travel. I use the Kindle only for internet access, I use the iphone as the ereader.
