Device: Sony pocket edition and Kobo touch both died - looking at Kindles
No LINUX compatibility for Sony ereaders?

It's not relevant to me, but I was thinking of gifting one to a friend who uses Linux or some other oddball operating system. Looks like Sony ereader (or maybe just its software, which of course one doesn't have to use) supports only Mac and PC.

Is there any ereader which functions on all platforms (computer operating systems not elevated thingamajigees)?

BTW, page 117 of reader guide says "Reader Library is not supported by... personally built computers." Someone call Heathkit!
