It wouldn't have worked that way anyway - you're in the US, but Akuma is logging in from Portugal. If you look at the screenshot, you can see the VAT info and such.

It looks like, possibly due to a publisher issue specific to certain geographic territories, a different edition was added to run the discounted price. Doesn't make sense, but since when do publishers do things that make sense?
