There are few ways if using the main site:
1. You can upload it to your
Pictures & Albums in your
User CP.
Pictures and Albums will give you an
IMG link that you can add to a post via the
Insert Image 
button.
2. You can upload and add an attachment to any post using the
Attachments button
. This will create a thumbnail that we can click on to enlarge. Or if you
Manage Attachments, using the same button after you have uploaded it, it's possible to determine the link of the image and post that as well.
3. You can upload your photo to many a free cloud storage site which will provide a URL link for you to insert using the
Insert Image button
I'm not sure if you can upload images or attachments, other than your signature, if you're using the mobile site.
