From what I read here, the Nook Touch's Android OS has already been rooted, which means that the capabilities listed by B&N are just a starting point.
I look forward to a Nook Touch that also runs Kindle's Android App, which would give me a single eInk device that I can use to read books purchased from B&N, Amazon, Borders, Sony, Google, and of course, Kobo.
The Kobo could have been in the running, but Sorry - no Android = No Sale.

I dont see it as a screw up at all . Linux, android are completely irrelevent as long as I can read a book on it. No need to hack or root it to read I mean really, afterall it is an ereader, what else would you do with it?
