The Toshiba guy was pretty prompt. Called me yesterday, told me he'd credit my credit card and gave me a FedEx acct number to ship the original PDA back to him. The whole thing's a pain in the neck, but all in all, they've treated me decently except for the mixup with my returned PDA.

Toshiba did have a WinME2003 ROM upgrade to SE, which is amazing. And they still are offering good support even for a line of PDAs that's been nixed for quite a while. I suppose I'd consider buying another Toshiba PDA in the future, except oh yeah, they stopped offering PDAs in the US. They sold one in Canada recently, but that might be the end of the line for them. Maybe a smart phone or something else I don't want will replace PDAs.

But Canada and not the US? What's up with all the rejection of the US market for PDAs? Are they afraid of competition with Dell? Is there some govt regulation I don't know about that makes it miserable to do business in the US? Or is the PDA market really that soft in the US? Crazy...
