MobileRead is a free service, yet to post it requires registration (except in General Chat, IIRC). Which posting is also a free service.
In my opinion it's not free (when there's still no money needed) when they
force you to give up personal information (i.e. snail mail confirmation of registration, or telephone confirmation - forcing you to give real, full info). As long as you don't
have to give 100% correct information, it's free in my mind.
