While I agree with you insofar as Pogue never calls either reader "awful", I thought Pogue's review of them was tainted with a sort of, "Oh, look, how quaint!...E-readers." attitude. He's an Apple fanboy from way back, so it doesn't surprise me that he continues to compare e-readers to the iPad, despite all evidence that consumers don't actually find them mutually exclusive.
