Nook color rooted or with CM7 is still better bang/buck IMO
There's a couple of good competitors now but they are either
10" Tablets (Asus Transformer, Toshiba Thrive) for more money ...or
7" Tablets that are too expensive (HTC Flyer)
About the only tablet in the NC's territory is the original 3G Galaxy Tab if you can find one on a sale.
