Three years ago two people made a booklet called De Kat in de Stad (The Cat in the City). Apparently in Utrecht many stores, restaurants and cafés have cats, they made pictures of a lot of those cats and wrote a little piece about each.

One of the cats featured in this booklet was our Nikita, Lexie and Snoepie (who died not long after the book was released) are also mentioned but Nikita is the one who is most often downstairs in our store. After the release we had a lot people coming in and ask about Nikita, wanting to see her and taking her picture.

The city archive just opened a new exhibition about animals in the city and the Cat in the City booklet has been updated. Last week one of the authors came to bring a poster sized photo of Kita and today he brought over the booklet. We bought 20 more to sell in our store. I expect more people coming to see Kita in the coming weeks/months.

I'm now updating my Blackberry and it seems to take longer than I anticipated. It's in the reboot phase which can take up to 30 mins.
