I brought my nook classic in March. For me, the initial primary factors were not being locked into any one store and being able to borrow library books. The nook and the Sony readers both allow this. I love the touch feature of the Sony but what ultimately made me decide on the nook was the price. While I love the design and the touchscreen of the Sony readers, I felt that I ultimately couldn't justify the price (at least not right now). My nook does everything I want it to do and while initially, I did wonder if I made the wrong choice, I love it now. In fact, I love it so much that I put it on eBay and MR to sell for some cash but then I decided to keep it. I couldn't really bear to part with it.
