The code still worked as BST time is ahead.

Just bought one for the eDge in case the gelaskin it has on right now will need changing in 5 years time.

I'm optimistic that I'll still be reading and note taking using the eDge by that time as I still have one spare battery. I have not been tempted to go the Ermine way so I'm expecting it to chug along in its slow but relatively reliable Dingo manner.
