Sure an 11 OR 12" eInk reader would be my choice when the time comes to upgrade my 505 in a couple of years. I do 95% of my reading at home, so the larger size being less "portable" in terms of tossin git into a carry bad would not be an issue.
And as Harry indicated - a bigger unit would require and should have room for a better battery - and PLEASE make the battery user replaceable. I dread the thought of losing my reader to send it off to get the stupid battery replaced.
Other nice options would be at least the current 8-scale gray of the 505 - maybe more - color not a big deal for me in terms of reading books, but I could see it for manuals and educational books down the line. A touch/stylus screen might also be attractive but for me not particularly important for a reader - Sony's ten buttons down the side and the "joystick" c0oncept work fine so far. While I really don't want the clutter of a keyboard on my reader like the Kindle, it would be nice to have some way of implementing a dictionary lookup feature - but lets mkake it a subtantial dictionary - most of them don't have a lot of the words used in the 18th and 19th century English literature I like to read (it is the Dickens to figure some of those words LOL).
