The kindle app is free from the Amazon Appstore. Once you have it installed you will have access to all the books you have purchased through Amazon. You could probably sideload them from your computer as well, but you will still need the Kindle app. For LCD it's not a bad reader!

As emusan suggests, you can buy or borrow epubs and pdfs from any number of sources to read on the e-ink side.
