You mentioned school website, one of the problems I ran into at my school when trying to download was my school site does not recognize the android OS. All my downloads came as empty files. One solution may be to download to your PC and save in Dropbox. Then the next time you are somewhere where bandwidth is not an issue grab them from your Dropbox.
