If you have a PE, then getting an EE is like driving a Volkswagen Bug and upgrading to a Lincoln Continental

Same four wheels, four doors, and gets you from Point A to Point B, but sooo much bigger that you'll feel like it's luxury

You'll see more content on a screen at one time (LCD and eInk), you'll turn ereader pages less often. Also, with a larger eInk screen, annotations and writing notes in general is much easier and closer to using a 8.5x11 piece of paper.
It has no different features, and actually the speakers aren't as good in the EE as they are in the PE.
Don't worry about the battery - the EE battery likely will last a good 3 years, too.
