Check out the link I provided to the tablet PC forum where they're really doing a lot with this device. Yes you can annotate pdfs (that's one of its main features) and in part because the device itself is linux based, I believe the resulting files are more compatible with various programs than the edge's annotated pdfs are. (That may be only as a result of the stuff they're working on in that forum, though.)

t_b, I'm glad you've provided such a positive review. I really do think this guy is in my future, even if only as a more portable edge substitute or a back up for when it dies. I use the journal features of the edge more than anything, and I do like the feature to snap a picture, then annotate it in just a click or two.

I know a lot of people are ordering them from Taiwan, but the North American release date is now projected at June 1, and even if it's a little later, that's fine for me. I'm waiting until I can get one already in English (even though tablet PC forum guys like pb have made it pretty easy for international buyers to convert) especially since I'll still be traveling on the road until then, and I don't want to try to coordinate where I'll be with where a device from Taiwan will arrive.

But it's looking more and more like I have to have this.

... and then we'll all have to meet over on the tablet PC forums, too!
