Personnally, I'll prefer an eDGe running ubuntu linux than windows :
* open source, stable linux distributions, with gazillions of apps.
* a strong community of fans, developpers etc.
* There's even a port of ubuntu for ARM-based processors ( which are in our eDGes).
* The only drawback (and show-stopper for now) is that there's no ubuntu apps for the e-ink side of the eDGE, and software for interacting with both lcd and e-ink side has to be written ....
