Also managed to get Overdrive Media Console downloaded directly from Overdrive.com using Opera instead of 'Browser'. I would love to use it more (love seeing a pointer/cursor that I can move around using the 'track ball' control), but unfortunately, Opera has not been very stable, tends to crash after a short time with little provocation.

I too was a little panicked when I first read of some other users getting the WSOD and even contemplated downgrading to back to Dingo but, after using Froyo I don't think the WSOD are Ermine related. My son and I have been using our PEs for over a month which were upgraded to Ermine on Day #1 with no real problems. I did have a couple of times when my PE would not come out of hibernate and I had to power down the PE. My son has never had this problem and I haven't seen it recently . I did see the white screen come up a couple of times (and yes it scared me) when trying to come out of the screen timeout when I was pressing the Back Arrow on the tablet, but after I started using the Menu button instead I have not seen this. Ermine is a very stable and worthwhile upgrade on the PE. The default Android browser has never crashed, my camera is not taking green pictures etc. WSOD are not limited to the PE. Users of many other mobile devices (iPod, iPad, Blackberry, MP3 players etc.) have also reported this phenomenon.
