In Dingo the PE would go into "sleep" mode, which basically meant that the LCD screen had turned off. It drained the battery much more rapidly. It sounds as though what pablodemasceno has described essentially reverts to that.

If you check this thread out there are a couple of people reporting hibernation issues with the PE which led to a white screen of death. This is even worst than the EE. At least when it refuses to come out of hibernation you can pull the battery. pablodemasceno said in an update to his post that it didn't work. See above.
