As far as I know, nobody has reported hibernation problems on the PE. I'm not sure that that is a problem you need to be worried with in re: the PE. Plus there's always the reset option.

In Dingo the PE would go into "sleep" mode, which basically meant that the LCD screen had turned off. It drained the battery much more rapidly. It sounds as though what pablodemasceno has described essentially reverts to that.
