I agree with most of your points abour startup and resistive touch screen but the writing isn't to bad just takes getting used too. I have had my PE for about a month now, and I greatly enjoy it. It is a versatile I find am still finding new uses for it. If there is ever an update to 2.2 and it runs with same speed it would be perfect, not that I think that is likely to happen. My only real complaint besides no way to make the LCD sleep without closing it, is the camera, its terrible, I am not sure why they bothered. The PE is my toy and my wife has an Ipad and while I mainly use my PE of work and reading, the Ipad is much better for anything illustrated and web broswing. While I can understand your points (I also realize the price difference of the PE and EE) for what I use it for the PE is perfect and I knew about most of the drawbacks before I bought it, single touch vs multitouch screens and such. I currently have a PE, IPad, Archos 5, Iphone 4 & 3g, and Samsung Captivate (the apple stuff belongs to my wife and she loves it all and won't touch my stuff unless she has too).
