Took the plunge and the water is fine
Greetings to all.
A few weeks ago I purchased an EE off of eBay. It was used and I really didn't know what to expect even after I researched this tablet/e-reader for months before hand. Now each day I become more and more attached to it. In fact I feel honored to be part of the innovators who seek out the uniqueness which is the EE/Pocket E and are rewarded with their efforts of creating a tool specific for their needs. Like others I was hesitant to part with my hard-earned money on a device that runs 1.6, is heavier than a brick, and has some quirkiness that would baffle Archimedes. Nevertheless I believe it is this uniqueness and quirkiness which draws us to the EE. I've learned a lot from reading what people have written about the problems they've experienced and the solutions they've discovered. I've found a few of my own which I'd be happy to share should anyone be interested.
What attracted me to the EE was the e-reader being able to do PDF's natively. My interests are eclectic and numerous. I can go from Social Network Analysis to Music theory in the blink of an eye. From characterization in literature to graphic design with one click. Of course nearly everyone of these are published as pdf's. I tried converting them on my Kindle with disastrous results. Now...well, I'm faced with a gluttonous amount of reading material. And I can link it with the tablet side. ****, I may not be in heaven, but maybe the sixth step towards Nirvana.
Black sure is a fingerprint magnet though.
