This I believe is an artifact of eInk, which is actually an emulsion of fine particles in an oil - i.e., these aren't little lights that blink on and off like the LCD screen. As a result, you'll sometimes get ghosting, although enTourage has been tweaking their code to proactively eliminate it.

If you see ghosting, simple click the Refresh tool at the top of the screen.
