I seriously doubt that the eDGe will be capable of running Honeycomb. Most products coming to market with Honeycomb (or planned to have Honeycomb available) are equipped with at least 512MB of RAM and a 1Ghz processor. Several are carrying 1GB of RAM. The eDGe falls far far short of this.
I'm guessing that 2.2 (IF it is ever released for the eDGe, and I'm not convinced at this point that it will be) will likely be the last major version update for this device.
