I know it's not much help to the PE users, but I can't recommend a second battery strongly enough for EE users. I don't think I could run out of battery life before I get back to a power source if I wanted to.

I use a Tekkeon TekCharge mobile power unit (takes 4 AAs) for pretty much everything else I have, but I don't think they have a tip that works for the EE/PE. But between the EEs longer battery life and the ability to have a second one with you for swapping, I feel like I worry even less about power than an iPad user. I understand the reasons behind a non-replaceable PE battery, but it is a shame, since the battery experience with the EE is just so good.
