Since the Edge doesn't have a GPS or a phone number, I'd think the impact of this kind of malware would be minimal. (If you're storing other kinds of sensitive information on a portable device with zero password protection like the Edge, you're insane already) Also it appears to only be present in disreputable 3rd party app sources (ie, not the Edge app store or SlideMe).
