Thanks for the response, Hopi. I was trying to get a sense if I should recommend European buyers to buy their eDGe locally to make warranty issues easier (cheaper) even if the initial purchase price is higher than buying it from the US.
I'm in Canada, and while buying stuff from the US is generally cheaper, warranties can be an issue for non-US residents. It's something I have to be aware of when buying across the border. A good example right now is buying a car - buying it in the US is 20-25% cheaper, but Canadian dealers won't honour the US warranty on the car, so you have to pay for repairs out of pocket. Mind you, you have the 20-25% you saved that you can calculate against the out of pocket expenses, depending on how you do your accounting
