I believe it is pre installed as it is for the Pocket Edge's big brother. To use just download the book from edge's store or another ebook (EPUB,PDF) format store. Run the Reader application (blue Book on your Tablet) and select your book. There are hlep tutorials on the edge on how to use the Reader side of the Edge. The Big ? White in a Red Circle (help) offers User guides and video tutorials. The eBook viewer is known as the Reader and the Colour LCD side is referred to as Android (tablet) in the titles.
