Given that you're using PDFs, and plan on note-taking, I would suggest you get the full-sized eDGe rather than the smaller Pocket eDGe when you're ready to purchase. The larger unit is closer to standard paper size and lends itself more to academic settings than the smaller "Pocket" eDGe.
