The propsect of new hardware so soon is not encouraging for me and probably many others that plunked down approx.$500 for an Edge. I can tell you I am not interested in buying the next model so early esp. after not feeling enough dedication was placed in the current product which is only around a year old. I don't know about others here, but I don't have that kind of disposable income. And besides, if they decided to drop support for this device so quickly and moved on to another model I'd probably jump ship the first chance I got (by selling my Edge.) I am not saying this is what they are planning on doing, I am just stating my feelings on how I would react. Others would happily throw more money at a new models while others would not.
Also, before people give Apple as an example, I would say there is no comparison. Apple's products are generally slick devices right from the start while start-ups like Entourage generally have "work in progress" devices which understandably require time to refine and smooth out any rough edges in their software.
