I have been doing business with HSN for about 20 years, now. My purchases vary from "tech" items such as camcorders, Lexmark Printers, Cricut Imagine and other crafting devices to various peripherals, crafting supplies and numerous other items and I, also, purchased the Red Pocket Edge from them for my Son.
It, also, has yet to ship, although I have spent the past few days doing intensive research on this device.
BTW, I also purchased the HSN 3yr. "extended protection plan" for the $39 for the peace of mind.
HSN has quite a liberal return policy, whereby you can return purchases made between 10/1/10 - 12/20/10 by JANUARY 31ST OF 2011!
It's a "no questions asked" return policy, so however you react to the device once you receive it, if you determine it's just not for you, you can simply return it.
I purchased the "larger," 10.1" LCD tablet and 9.1" Reader PocketEdge from Amazon.com for $496.00 ... a little under $100 more than HSN's offering (and I got mine in RED, also) because I liked the additional USB Port, the greater reader screen size AND tablet size.
I'm comfortable that this device will fit into my photography and crafting endeavours, provide me with excellent reading and journalling options AND being able to make various notes and save them to .PDF files and dozens of other uses I have planned for it!
I will be purchasing Amazon.com's extended protection plan for this device, as well.
I phoned enTourageEdge.com's tech department earlier today and found they are, indeed, working on various updates, upgrades and programs for both devices and I understand that this will, invariably, take time as this device is, by FAR, considerably beyond the cutting edge of what is currently available.
For one, I cannot wait to get this device (and the smaller version for my Son) and start putting it through it's paces!
I wish all who are getting either PocketEdge device well, fun and creative usage of them!
