It's been so long since I've used the AC adapter for this drive, I'd have to go hunting for it. But that was our next thought. Thanks for letting me know the same thing happened to you.

UPDATE: Yes, connecting the drive to the AC adapter worked. Well, worked in the sense that the edge "ding"ed and told me that a USB storage device had been connected. The message I got was that the device was either blank or using an unsupported file system. That at least I understand.
